A few weeks ago, I stopped by my local ReStore to see what I could see. And I came out of there with a few things, one of them being this lovely window…for five-dolla! The flower box included {and attached}. My master bedroom needed her!

The window still had glass in all of the panes, but the caulking was coming off in quite a few spots that I decided to push out all of the glass pieces and just use the frame.

With some Krylon’s Almond spray paint {the same paint I used here}, I painted her enough to have the color come through, but not full coverage. I wanted her to still feel a little worn and weathered.

And then, as easy as that, I hung her above the bed. The change immediately brings your eyes up when you walk into the room. The curtains that are in our room are curtsey of our landlords…and lucky me, I like them! I know eventually I’ll buy curtains, but for now, they’re working just fine. Combined with the new window over the headboard, and my master has a good start!

The window definitely adds something, don’t you think? I plan on adding some flowers or vines to the flower box, I just haven’t gotten there yet.
